沈璃又看到了千年前的灵界，她看到了琉羽和灵族的统领。统领希望用丹炉中的熊熊烈火炼成更多的魑魅，以获得无穷无尽的力量。结果炼化出一个脸上有图腾的男子，显然是灵界所炼化魑魅之王。琉羽用温暖的手抚慰他，让他不用害怕，还给他取了一个名字叫“凤来”。这个凤来似乎非常信任琉羽，统领便让琉羽看护这个魑魅之王。

沈璃在画卷中看到琉羽和凤来的相处情形后，心中的疑惑逐渐解开。她决定再次打开画卷来看究竟。这次她看到了琉羽和凤来相处的更多细节。
此时沈璃在画卷中旁观着琉羽和凤来的互动，并看到了师傅的出现。原来琉羽是师傅的师妹，她第一次见到凤来时非常惊讶，责怪琉羽不该助纣为虐，把魑魅变成了人的模样。凤来看到灵尊瞪着琉羽后，便反击地朝着灵尊吐了一口痰，简直跟羊驼一个德行。
沈璃看到琉羽帮助凤来开拓思路，劝师姐消消气。这时的凤来刚刚炼化为人形，还是小孩子模样。之后琉羽和凤来在相处中感情升温，琉羽发现凤来并不像魑魅，更像是温存的灵族战友。
